The Manuka Tree Manuka honey is a mono-floral honey produced by bees gathering nectar from the flowers of the Leptospermum Scoparium. The Leptospermum is also referred to as Tea or Manuka tree. It is a shrub of roughly 2 to 5 meters, but can grow to become a tree of 15 meters, and is found throughout New Zealand and Southeast Australia. In the case of Manuka honey, the main floral source is the manuka tree (Leptospermum Scoparium). The best Manuka honey is produced in areas with a higher density of the Leptospermum.
